Google DeepMind has made headlines with its latest AI system, AlphaGeometry, which has demonstrated the ability to solve geometry problems at a level comparable to top high-school students. On January 17, 2024, researchers at Google DeepMind published their findings in the journal Nature, highlighting that AlphaGeometry solved 25 out of 30 geometry problems from past International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) competitions, matching the performance of an average gold medalist.
